Interestingly, the song, released in 1958, first topped the Billboard Hot 100 after waiting for 65 long years.

With this, the 79-year-old musician extends her record for the longest span of reigning the Hot 100. She made her maiden entry at No. 1 with “I’m Sorry” in 1960.

“Rockin’ Around the Christmas” Tree earned 57.3 million streams and 22.2 million radio airplay audience impressions and sold 4,000 downloads in the tracking week ending on December 28, according to Luminate.

The song retained its No. 1 rank on the Streaming Songs chart for the fifth week in a row.

For the first time, the top seven songs on the Hot 100 are seasonal songs.

Mariah Carey‘s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” at No. 2 and Bobby Helms‘ “Jingle Bell Rock” at No. 3 round out the Hot 100 top three for the chart dated January 6.

The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data.
