Sex Pistols bassist and singer-songwriter Glen Matlock is set to feature on Blondie‘s upcoming studio album. The title of the album and the release date have not yet been revealed.

Matlock previously stepped in for Leigh Foxx on Blondie’s 2022 U.K. and U.S. tour after Foxx suffered a back injury in April. Now, with Foxx recuperating from his injury, Matlock has been announced to play bass on the band’s follow-up to 2017’s Pollinator.

“Glen has just been great. Unlike Pollinator, we’re mostly keeping this album in-house: it’s just the band and Glen playing on it. He’s fitted right in,” Blondie guitarist Chris Stein told Classic Pop magazine.
